Prof. Kusumlata Kedia
An international diplomat, development economist, social scientist, and historian. Formerly a professor of Economics at Banaras Hindu University, and subsequently a professor and head of the Department of Social Sciences at the Gandhi Vidya Sansthan, Varanasi, as well as its Director. She has served as a Senior Fellow at the Indian Council of Philosophical Research, New Delhi, a Mahatma Gandhi National Fellow at the Indian Council of Social Science Research, New Delhi, and a Fellow at the Indian Institute of Advanced Study (IIAS), Shimla. She was also the former Director of the Dharampal Research Chair, Bhopal. In 2006, she was honored with the All India Dr. Hedgewar Pragya Award.
She has authored numerous books in Hindi and English on Economics, History, Gandhian Thought, and Feminism. She has presented papers and delivered speeches at numerous national and international seminars and symposiums across the globe. In recent years, she has been consistently delivering talks on various topics on multiple YouTube channels.
